1/11/10 Alum Makes Bid for Congress
"New Mexico has a relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere that is hard to find in a place like Washington, D.C.," said Kokesh, who pledges not to accept the salary of a congressman - around $174,000 per year- and instead only accept the national average salary of $50,000. "People don't move here to have authority. They move here to have individual liberty and gain American grassroots. These are the ideals that I am trying to implement in the rest of American society."

Over a dozen handwritten letters from students arrived at the campaign headquarters days later, expressing encouragement for Kokesh. One student, senior Christina Schroedle, stated, "Your views were very clear and they made me re-think the way our government works." Another student, Crystal Vigil, observed, "You were a great representative for the Republican party and ... you were correct that political parties should be about principles." Additionally, student council and National Honor Society student Justin Sandoval remarked, "The part of your speech about the 'revolution' was really captivating and I could honestly see the truth in your words."

1/5/10 A Winter Soldier's Quest for Congress
Ex-Marine, Iraq vet, and antiwar activist Adam Kokesh is finally ready to fight The Man – from inside the system. But as he makes the rounds through the New Mexico congressional district he hopes to one day represent, he’s finding out fast that people are more apathetic about U.S. interventions abroad than ever before. "Nobody cares about the war. It’s predictable, but it’s sad," said Kokesh in a recent interview with Antiwar.com. "We have 300,000 troops serving in harm’s way, but I hardly get asked questions about that. I hardly get any questions about foreign policy."

12/28/09 A Phone Call from Adam Kokesh
Last night while I was driving home from LA I unexpectedly received a phone call from Adam Kokesh thanking me for my contribution to his campaign. How surprised was I!?! It was such an honor to actually talk to the Congressional candidate in person that I was practically speechless.
12/1/09 Adam Speaks at the End the Fed Rally in Houston
An impassioned defense of the free market from Kokesh. It is time to be unrelenting in our opposition to all forms of socialism, whether rightwing corporatism or leftwing welfarism. Kokesh reminds us that capitalism shouldn't be a dirty word, that the bankster-industrial complex is not capitalism. This speech is a good example of the admonition from Virgil, often quoted by Ludwig von Mises in relation to economic liberty, to "not give in to evil but proceed ever more boldy against it."

With endorsements from key liberty candidates including Mr. Kokesh, Project 2012 hopes to make a huge difference in youth politics in the coming years.Co-founder Jared Fuller when speaking on the Kokesh endorsement had this to say: "We are proud to have the endorsment of a pro-peace Republican such as Adam; that is to say, Adam's endorsement shows us how trans-partisan Year of Youth truly is. This movement transcends traditional party lines and is moving forward not based on political affiliation, but on the issues whose time has come." They are deadly serious about achieving their goals but cannot do it without our help.

Like Urban Republican and the candidates we support, Mr. Kokesh is committed to returning us to sound monetary policy, protection of our constitutional liberty, fighting the corporatism that has crippled our once free market and, reeling in the out of control foreign policy continued by the Obama administration.
11/11/09 "Real Money Bomb Hits America"
SANTA FE, NM - November 11, 2009 - Adam Kokesh, Congressional Candidate (NM-3) who's fundraising out raised the incumbent in the 3rd quarter, announced another revolutionary idea in their arsenal of unconventional fundraising, a "Real Money Bomb". The idea behind the real money bomb encourages donations in the form of gold or silver, which the campaign says it won't spend it until they need it for media buys when it will probably be worth more than when it is donated. The campaign will begin taking donations from November 11, Veterans Day until February 1st, Kokesh's birthday.
11/4/09 "It's the Economy, Stupid"
SANTA FE, NM - November 4, 2009 - Republican wins of Christopher J. Christie in New Jersey and Robert McDonnell in Virginia, who both ran on a message of fiscal conservatism, the economy, and jobs, demonstrate the popular sentiments of the people. It's the economy, not social issues, that are bringing voters back to the Republican party.

This past month has certainly been an enjoyable one! After we met our goal of raising $100,000 by the end of the third quarter, I've been feeling a certain snowball effect kicking in. Not only did we get some great press from beating the incumbent for the quarter, but we've been getting the kind of coverage you would expect for a challenger about to pull an upset!

10/26/09 "Group Wants Johnson on Presidential Ballot"
A section [on JohnsonforAmerica.com] called "Our Candidates" lists several candidates for state and federal offices around the country, including Adam Kokesh, who is running for the Republican nomination for New Mexico's 3rd Congressional District seat, now held by Congressman Ben Ray Luján. But the site says, "These candidates are not necessarily endorsed or supported by Gary Johnson. Gary has not yet made any official endorsements. These candidates are listed by the administrators of Johnson For America as a list of libertarian Republican candidates who tend to agree with Gary Johnson's political outlook and philosophy.

With people like them, doing as much as they did, there is no doubt in my mind that we can win," stated Mark Johnson, the Kokesh for Congress Fundraising Coordinator.

9/15/09 America's Forgotten Holiday: Constitution Day is Sept. 17th
The 10-4 Pledge is a set of 10 affirmations and 10 promises for legislators and candidates. Included in the pledge is an affirmation that "All just political authority is derived from the People," and a promise that elected officials will always vote "in favor of the Constitution of the United States. Every issue. Every time. No exceptions. No excuses."
Already, several prominent candidates have affirmed these positions as early-signers of the pledge, including Randy Brogdon for Governor of Oklahoma, Adam Kokesh for US House in New Mexico, and Brandon Creighton from the Texas House of Representatives and author of HCR-50 - the Texas Sovereignty Resolution.

8/31/09 "GOP Candidate Calls for Constitutional Values"
Adam Kokesh believes a revolution is needed to return America to its constitutional principles — and there’s an easy way or a hard way to do it.
“The good way,” Kokesh said, “is to elect candidates who know the Constitution and will uphold democracy and its principles.”
He is running for the 3rd Congressional District spot that comes up for vote in 2010. Democrat Ben Ray Lujan currently occupies the seat.
8/20/09 "Baloo - Dog of Kokesh"
If Mr. Kokesh had intended for Baloo to serve as chief of public relations, he could not have selected a more winning and effective ambassador. Before even meeting Mr. Kokesh, I found myself quite unable to continue disliking him, despite my best intentions—all due to Baloo. But enough of Baloo: What of Kokesh?
7/27/09 "The Early Birds"
If Ron Paul were 50 years younger, ripped, handsome and a Marine veteran of the Fallujah campaign in Iraq, he’d be Adam Kokesh. In other words, Kokesh is positioned to seize the netroots national support of the Libertarian, Tea Party and 9.11 Truth movements. Horses don’t get much darker, but winning for Kokesh isn’t necessarily defined as an electoral victory. Paul will soon retire and Kokesh is well positioned to assume the Libertarian mantle. An anti-war activist, Kokesh says his main beef with Luján is the incumbent’s vote to continue funding the war, but ultimately Luján’s support for Obama’s economic strategy may motivate an already agitated Republican base.
SANTA FE, NM - July 20, 2009 - Adam Kokesh announced today at a press conference he will be running under the Republican Party ticket. He has been weighing options as to which party he would be running under, if any, for New Mexico's Third Congressional District. As he toured the district, he found strong support within the Republican Party for his platform and his message. District and state leaders have assured Kokesh his voice will be valued as a new direction for the party. Because his platform is post-paadam headshotrtisan and they want to see a "bigger tent, smaller government" message as the party moves forward, Adam's platform fits in perfectly.
